  • Campaign wave 2 close-out report published

    A.I.S.E. has published the Close-out report of wave 2 of the I prefer 30° campaign. Activities during Wave 2 took place in 2016-2017 in France and Belgium. The close-out report has several annexes with details on the online engagement via social media, the media coverage, and the face-to-face engagement with shoppers and the general public in capital cities, promoting low temperature washing. Although the activation period of this campaign is now officially over, this webportal remains a source of inspiration for all stakeholders: industry sponsors, partners and consumers, to remain focussed on long-term change to more sustainable washing habits, opting for lower temperature washing!   • 'I prefer 30°C' Low Temperature Washing Campaign: A.I.S.E. announces 2016 relaunch

    Building on the success of the first wave of the campaign,  A.I.S.E. launches today the sequel of the 'I prefer 30˚C' campaign aimed at promoting the benefits of low temperature washing and lowering the energy footprint of the detergent sector. The A.I.S.E. campaign and consumer portal www.iprefer30.eu have been promoted since 2013 through this unique multi-stakeholder campaign supported by more than 30 partner organisations. A.I.S.E. is now pursuing this campaign vis-à-vis consumers with dedicated activities in Belgium, France, Denmark and the UK throughout 2016. 

    Partners from the detergent industry but also its value chain, such as the textile and appliances sectors, but also retailers, NGOs and authorities are invited to join this unique stakeholder movement!

    Partnering is simple with the step-by-step guide provided on the campaign portal www.iprefer30.eu under 'Become a Partner' or email: info@iprefer30.eu.

  • "I prefer 30°" Release of Close out report for Wave 1 Campaign & Call for Interest for Wave 2 Campaign

    Today, A.I.S.E. releases the comprehensive close-out report of the "I prefer 30°” Low Temperature Washing campaign launched in 2013 and running throughout 2014. The aim of this initiative was to promote more sustainable use of household laundry detergents by consumers and in particular, encourage the use of low temperature washing through a unique multi-stakeholder campaign. The report details activities undertaken by A.I.S.E.’s National Associations and the different partner organisations in all five participating countries (Belgium, Denmark, France, Italy and UK). It includes an Executive Summary as well as country reports/annexes, highlighting achievements and learnings of the campaign.

    Coinciding with the release of the report, A.I.S.E. is also happy to call for an expression of interest to organise a sequel of this initiative for activation in 2016. Building on the success of the first campaign, A.I.S.E. has updated the project description and relevant commitment letters for partners who wish to join the campaign sequel. This call for interest to detergent companies and suppliers closes on 1 December 2015.

  • A.I.S.E. national associations present I prefer 30° campaign activities at 10th A.I.S.E. General Assembly

    As I prefer 30° implementation is well underway and a number of exciting activities have been developed by the five national associations of the campaign, A.I.S.E. was delighted to showcase these at its recent General Assembly in Brussels. Members from Assocasa, Afise, Detic, SPT and the UK shared highlights of their local campaigns so far and outlined the positive impact and engagement with the partners on board.

    A.I.S.E. President Charles-François Gaudefroy commended their great work and highlighted the fact that the I prefer 30° campaign is a real life example of a multi-stakeholder campaign with a common goal that is achievable by working together.

  • The I prefer 30° campaign creates a real buzz as promotional activities get well underway

    Over the last weeks the I prefer 30° campaign has become increasingly visible with coverage appearing across a variety of channels due to the local activities of the national associations and partners rolling out the campaign.

     As core media activities are also well underway and local ambassadors continue to grow, the result is almost 150,000 visitors to website to date! Let’s continue to work together to spread the message about the benefits of low temperature washing!

  • 30 Partners Prefer 30° with extension for more to join until 30 June!

    The I prefer 30° campaign has recently grown to 30 Partners! The wide and varied group of stakeholders  on board make it a unique multistakeholder movement to promote the benefits of low temperature washing.

    As word continues to spread on the campaign, the deadline for commitment has been extended to 30 June so that more partners can join and be part of this novel initiative of A.I.S.E. and its five associations (Afise, Assocasa, Detic, UKCPI, SPT).

  • DG Climates "world you like" campaign epublication now available

    The European Commission's campaign to promote practical, innovative and cost-efficient solutions to climate change - A world you like. With a climate you like – recently published the outcome of its initiative following the project coming to an end in 2013. A.I.S.E. was delighted to be a partner to the initiative and to launch the I prefer 30° campaign at an event jointly hosted by the European Directorate for Climate Action in Milan on 7 June 2013.

  • I prefer 30° campaign continues to see partners grow!

    The latest partners to join the I prefer 30° campaign include two UK based non profit organisations - the National Union of Students (NUS) and the Energy Saving Trust.

    The NUS, through its member students’ unions, reaches out to more than 7 million students and will promote the benefits of low temperature washing across this network of students in the coming months.

    Energy Savings Trust through its partnerships offers impartial advice to communities and households on how to reduce carbon emissions, use water more sustainably and save money on energy bills.

    A.I.S.E. and national association, UKCPI, very much welcome the new partners on board.

  • Ecolabelling Denmark joins the I prefer 30° low temperature movement

    Set up by the Danish Ministry of the Environment, Ecolabelling Denmark is responsible for the European Eco-label and Nordic Swan Eco-label in Denmark. It aims to minimise impacts on the environment from products and services. In this spirit, A.I.S.E. and its local national association, SPT, welcome their support to the I prefer 30° campaign in promoting the benefits of low temperature washing.

  • Belgian Federal Public Service Health, Food Chain Safety and Environment and COMEOS Join “I prefer 30°” campaign

    A.I.S.E. and its Belgian association DETIC welcome SPF Environment (Federal Public Service Health, Food Chain Safety and Environment) and COMEOS (Belgian Association for Commerce and Services) to the “I prefer 30°” campaign as Institutional Partners.

     DETIC, COMEOS and SPF Environment are the main contributors of a sectorial agreement that aims, amongst others, to promote the environmentally friendly use of laundry detergents (www.vert-et-propre.be / www.goedgewassen.be). For DETIC and its members, the support of the Belgian authorities and retailers are “key for success”.

  • A.I.S.E. welcomes first washing machine appliance manufacturer 'Arcelik A.S. / BEKO' to "I prefer 30°" campaign

    A.I.S.E. is delighted to announce that Turkish goods manufacturer, Arcelik A.S. / BEKO, has endorsed its commitment as a gold partner to the "I prefer 30°" campaign. The global company produces smart technologies and is the first appliance manufacturer to join the campaign.

    A.I.S.E. is delighted to confirm the geographical scope of the “I prefer 30°” low temperature campaign.

    The five countries where this unique campaign to promote the benefits of low temperature washing will run include: Belgium, Denmark, France, Italy and the United Kingdom thanks to the upfront commitment of the following detergent companies (“Core Campaign Leaders”): COOP Denmark, Henkel, McBride, Nopa Nordic, Procter & Gamble, Unilever and Vandeputte.

    To enable more detergent companies to join as “Core Campaign Leaders”, A.I.S.E. is happy to also announce an extension to the deadline until 15 December 2013.

     A number of additional partners have also joined up including:

    • “Gold partners”: C.L.A.S.S., WEAR and the Danish Fashion Institute
    • “Institutional partners”: AMFEP and Global Action Plan
    • “Corporate supporter”: Dupont

  • A.I.S.E. welcomes Henkel on board the “I prefer 30°”campaign

    A.I.S.E. is delighted to announce that Henkel, a member of A.I.S.E. and a multinational consumer goods company and manufacturer of detergent brands, has joined the “I prefer 30°”campaign. Henkel has endorsed the campaign as a core campaign leader in Belgium, France and Italy.

     

  • Deadline for Core Campaign Leaders extended till 10 October 2013

    Detergents companies which can sign as Core Campaign Leaders can now sign up to the project until 10 October 2013 ! This to allow a maximum of companies active in that sector to join the movement, whether manufacturers or private label distributors.

     

    The deadline for other partners (Gold Partners, Corporate Supporters, Institutional Supporters) remains March 2014; but the sooner partners are on board, the more preparation time they will have to prepare themselves for the B2C activation (due between January and March 2014).

  • "I prefer 30°" welcomes first Corporate Supporter “Dupont”, as well as Unilever and Global Action Plan

    We are delighted to now announce further new partners to the "I prefer 30°" campaign.  Unilever, a multinational consumer goods producer and member of A.I.S.E., has joined as a Core Campaign Leader.

    DuPont, a world leader in market-driven innovation and science, has become the first corporate supporter to the campaign.

    We also welcome Global Action Plan, a UK’s leading environmental behaviour change charity who joined up as an institutional partner.

     This follows on from the commitment of Procter & Gamble, Amfep, C.L.A.S.S. and WEAR earlier this year following the launch of the campaign on 7 June.

    That’s a total of seven partners in a short space of time! Join the movement.
